This bike came together all at once, which is rare for me. A family friend had rescued the frame from the trash heap and offered it to me for the price of the shipping label. $180 later and there was a rolling frame in the shop. After lots of sanding and drilling to get a seat post in the frame, the bike got stripped down.
It came with a terrible old suspension fork that immediately got donated and literal pounds of 90's garbage accessories.
The fork got replaced with a Soma, and everything but the hubs (for a different project) and rear derailleur was thrown into the parts bin. The ratty old decals were replaced with some fresh ones, and the fork was installed via a Velo Orange 1" sealed cartridge headset.
